Hello everyone.......Sorry I have been MIA for a little while, but as everyone knows, when it becomes summer you always have something going on. I swear at least one day a weekend I have been busy if not two. Which has really cut into my scrappy time. However, I am now on vacation for this week so I hope to post some new stuff and do some layouts. Krystal!

Father's Birthday Present

This is the birthday present I made for my father for his upcoming birthday. I though that I could make it for him to put on his desk at work, however the day I started it I found out that he would be retiring, since a early retirement came down from the state.
I used the kit from My Creative Scrapbook, from a few months ago, because I really wanted a masculine look to it.

I am hoping he really likes it.

My Garden

I love these pictures of Lucas......This was the first time he had ever planted anything, and he was given a indoor herb garden by his grandmother to grow. He was very proud of it. So he had to water, and plant the seeds in it. Now I have fresh herbs, basil, and parsley and chives, which I will be using for dinner tonight when I make spaghetti sauce.

Sweet Boys

Holy moly, I got five awesome layout out of this June Kit. this was the last layout made from my kit clubs, supplies for June. All the papers are scraps from the previous layouts, and I just started cutting and layering and this is the layout that I came up with. It was great fun to have to use my creativity instead of a sketch, but also very weird, as I rely on sketch very much.

The picture is of both of my boys in the bath, they enjoy bubbles and we having such a good time, it is hard to think that soon, I will not be able to do this anymore with the two of them, together in the bath, becasue all Lucas wants to do is take showers now.

This is another layout using Cosmo Cricket's Garden variety as well as all the embellishments from my kit club. The layout is from Sketch Inspiration and I had a great time making it. To me the pictures are the funniest part, due to the fact that if you look close, Owen is eating the dirt! Have a great day!

100% Pure Happiness

This was the layout that I stepped out of my box to complete. I used a lot of distressing ink, and did some paper tearing and paper lacing. I definitely was stressing the entire time I was working on this layout.
The paper is from Jenni Bowlin and came with embellishments and other items in the MY Creative Scrapbook kit from March.
I completed this layout for some different challenges at scrapbook.com. The challenges were, Distressing, and the Border Punch Challenge.
The layout was also based off of a sketch from Sketchy Thursday.

I also completed this layout for the negative space April Challenge on Scrapbook.com
If you notice I tried something different with the ribbon on this layout, by fraying the edge of it to give it a different look.
Hope you enjoyed!! Krystal

Caged

I love this picture of our dog and our oldest son Lucas. The two of them use to tand at the gate, when I was cooking every night. They looked so pathetic.
To make this layout I painted on the Sasafrass Lass "Me Likey" paper, then sewed the box around it to give it more dimension. I also used a border on the bottom and the i-top tool to make a brad under that red button. Stickles were used on the stars throughout the paper to draw in a little more color throughout the white and black paper.

Miscellaneous Sassafras Lass Layouts

These are some layouts that I have made over the past month using the Sassafras Lass Lines. Me Likey, Nerdy Birdy, and Bungle Jungle.
