2009 School Pictures

After looking through the different posts on Scrapbook.com, I saw a wonderful layout where a women used her son's hand prints in it. I though that would be a great idea to do for every school picture that is taken, to allow to document them growing up. So here is the start of my school picture/hand print layouts. I used Fancy Pants About a Boy line including the ribbon and rubbons. I also used Martha Stewart punches, and Nestabilities for the journaling area and Papertrey Ink Stamps for the other. Alphas are Making Memories and Thickers, and embellishments are from my stash.

Spike

I had seen a lot of talented ladies on Scrapbook.com using the mist in the background of their layouts so I thought I would try it. This was a quick layout using scraps from Cosmo Cricket's Lil' man line and some left over brads and buttons. I also used the crown punch from Martha Stewart, Bazzill chipboard shapes and some new Thickers I just picked up.

Scrapbooking Kit Club.....

Hello Everyone-

Have you ever thought that you wanted to do something with all the wonderful pictures that you have taken? But you do not have the time or the patience to coordinate all the different materials, and pick the right embellishments to go with your pictures? Or are you a scrapbooker currently but want to start branching off into new techniques or do something daring that you might not try at home? Well I have the perfect idea for you.

I am thinking about setting up a scrapbooking monthly kit/gathering, to promote my love for scrapbooking and to get more people into this creative outlet. The kit would include the most up-to-date, papers, embellishments that match so you do not have to do the coordinating. You would receive a kit of goodies, as well as three to four sketches, for inspiration, and a weekly tutorial to add a new technique to your repertoire. As well as the ability to come and share time with friends and the use of my Cricut, cuttlebug, stamps, ink, punches and different tools.

Some of the papers and embellishments that will be featured include

· Fancy Pants

· Bo Bunny

· Webster Pages

· Cosmo Cricket

· Crate Paper

· Basic Grey

· Tim Holtz

· Prima Marketing

· Sassafras Lass

· And many more

Snacks and drinks will be served, and children are more than welcome to come, which will be a wonderful opportunity for them to play together.

The kit/Saturday time will cost $25 a month for a sixth month membership and $30 for a month to month membership. If you are unable to come you will still be receive the kit, sketches and photographs of the tutorial, to complete on your own time. Payment will be expected one month prior to the months date, so that materials can be purchased accordingly.

The kit club will be held on the second Saturday of each month at my house at 10am. Depending on the time that everyone would like.

Please pass this along to anyone that you think would like to join as well. If you have any questions please contact me at 866-1602 or 292-4901

Thanks Krystal

If you would like to join us, please fill out the attached form and send it back to me with your payment of $25 by February 13th. So that we can begin March 13th .

These new Sassafras Lass lines are so yummy....I love them....I especially can not wait to use nerdy bird, to scrapbook my oldest son's first year of school!

These new Basic Grey lines are wonderful. Capella is giving me a reason to start my wedding album after 7 years!

I do not know how to describe this new line from Crate paper, except to say....I LOVE IT!!!

From Fancy Pants these are the two lines that I have decided that I must have!!

First Ride

This was my son's first time being able to ride his fourwheeler, and my youngest son's first time on a fourwheeler. He was really excited. I used a sketch from Got Sketch and the papers are from Basic Grey Lime Rickey as well as the letters and chipboard shapes. I also used Prima's E line for the Bling.

Besides the crummy scanned image, I love this layout! I used so much in this layout, from the Monstrosity line from Sassafras Lass to the Tim Holtz Key, Cosmo cricket chipboard and the different alphas from past lines. I also used my new I-top tool. I really enjoyed making this layout, now only if I could have gotten it to scan better!

For this layout I used Fancy Pants, the Delight collection with the paper and the transparency. I then also used the ribbon and buttons from the collection. the flowers and letters are from my collection and the journaling was printed out on the computer and cut apart.

Bathtime is Funtime

This layout is #85 from Creative Scrappers. This is a website I just came across and have found it to be totally awesome. I love their sketches and the examples.
This was the one of the first times my youngest took a bath in the big tub with his brother. The two of them had such a great time, now they really enjoy being in the tub together and have a ball.
The layout was machine stitched around the edges and then I used Queen and Company rhinestones and the Basic Grey line Lime Rickey. I love the bright colors in this line. I also used the border punch Loops from Martha Stewart.

You Are My Sunshine

This is a picture of my oldest son Lucas with a chocolate covered face and that precious smile that melts my heart. I was tring to use up some of my old supplies and found this collection from Fancy Pants, Summer Soiree. The sun is a transparency over the base sheet of patterned paper, and what I did was cover the circle with buttons and then took Stickles to highlight the sun rays. I also used Thickers as the letters for this layout and a Bingo card from Jenni Bowlin.

I Want Candy!

This layout depicts my two sons at the recital for the daycare graduation. The theme was Candy Land and my oldest Son's class sang "I Want Candy" It was very cute.
The layout is from 52sketches....52weeks
I used the Fancy Pants Delight kit with the rub-ons, and also Thickers for the letters. I stitched around the outside of the green circle as well. Then I cut out the different smalle cicles to make the flowers and distessed the edges, and got them wet to then crumple them up. After this I added so homemade glimme mist to give the flowes a little accent. See below fo a better picture.

Christmas from MyCreativeScrapbook

This is the December kit from MyCreativeScrapbook. This is my first kit that I received and the picture does not do it any justice. There is so much stuff, I did not know what to do with all of it.
This was just a simple layout from Starting Now She does such nice wok and her blog is very informative and interesting.
I simply took a piece of one of the pages and rolled the ribbon behind it to give it a nice border.
This is also another sketch from Starting Now that she submitted for the MyCreative Scrapbook. I loved using the gold and silver together with all the differnt types of stickers and papers.

Haircut!

his layout was developed based on sketch 48 from The Scrappiest I loved making it and the monstrosity line went right with the layout, since my husband calls my oldest son "The Monster"
The pictures show my husband getting his hair cut by Lucas, however he hit him upside the head with the clippers to.
The little flowers were made with nestabilities circles and the monster brads.

I Love Chocolate

This is a picture of my youngest son Owen that was given to me from daycare. They had pudding for lunch one day and he decided that it was going to be a full body experience. I thought it was so cute. I do not know the papes o embellishments are from a kit I got a while back.

Sketch Inspiration 105 for Sunday Januay 3rd

This is sketch 105 from Sketch Inspirations. Which is an awesome new network with some really creative ladies and awesome sketches!

This is the layout I made from the above sketch. This is of our oldest son Lucas at a Memorial Day party in 2006. I used Fancy pants Summer Soiree papers and embellishments as well as some miscellaneous journaling tags and string for the ribbon.

For the flowers I used Crystal Effects (Stampin' Up) and dazzling diamonds glitter. I painted both with the crystal effects and then on the orange sprinkled on the glitter and recoated it with more Crystal Effects.
