Let It Snow

This layout was done following Liz Qualman's sketch from Sunday February 21st. I absolutely fell in love with this sketch when I saw it and thought of something whimsical.
The pictures are from our recent snowstorm last week, when we got between 26-30 inches of snow. I loved how my camera, for some weird reason, turned the pictures of the pine trees blue. And the other picture is of our two dogs Max and Ghost Boy, outside.
The paper if from Moxxie, and this is part of the kit for April for my Scrapbooking club.
This snowflake was made using Bazzill chipboard shapes. then I painted it white and when that dried I applied glossy accents and poured some micro beads on top for a crystallized look. I love the way it turned out.

The Sketch is number 116 from Pencil Lines.

Ball Time

This is my youngest son, he loves to play with this sensory ball, at this point he was just feeling it and rolling it on the ground, now he kicks it and throws it, boy do I wish I could go back in time!
I used Cosmo Cricket's Jack's World, for this layout with the paper, ribbon, rub-ons (on buttons) and chipboard. I also used the Little Yellow Bicycle line of journaling tags, which are so cool.
If you look at the red and blue ball I did something different with it. On the red I mixed red paint and red glitter together (a lot of glitter) and it gave it a rough texture with some sparkle. Then for the blue i again mixed paint and glitter but not a lot and then covered it with glossy elements to give it a shinny finish.
This layout was based off of layout 1.21 from Sketchy Thursday.
I hope you enjoyed looking!

Love You

This is a picture of my husband and I back in 2000, when we were in college, on a mini vacation to Lake George. It seems like it was so long ago. I again used the Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook's February bundle. I also used sketch 110 from Pencil Lines.
To complete the layout I used my cricut for the flourish and the scalloped circle and I did some hand stitching on the side, with a simple x pattern. I also used some Stampin Up embellishments.

Page Pebble Tutorial

Page Pebble Tutorial:
Page pebbles are a decorative accent that many people use on their pages and can give you layout a little more dimension. However companies like Prima Marketing that make these can charge upwards of $6.00 for 6 of these pebbles, which can get very expensive, so using some info that I have found on the web I have developed a tutorial on how to make these, so you will not break you bank to use them on our page.

First gather the following supplies:
  • Paper, stickers, or small thumbnail size pictures
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Glossy Accents
  • Pebbles (the ones you can find in a bag at the dollar store to decorate with, just make sure the have a flat back, not the marbles)
Pick your size of pebble that you would like to use and trace it onto your paper or image.

Cut out our image, it helps if it is a little smaller then what you traced. This will allow there not to be an paper showing when you mount it onto our layout.
Apply a small drop of the glossy accents to our paper.

Then push it down onto our image, making sure their are no air bubbles. (These two smaller images were stickers, from the February Kit from Addicting Paper)
Theses are the finished pebbles. The two large ones and the longer one were done with regular patterned paper, and the one of the accorn and owl were stickers.
I incorporated the page pebbles into this layout. Of my children and their grandmother.
This layout uses a larger page pebble in which I used a thumbnail size picture of a tractor similar to ours that my son is riding on.

I Love Pancakes

My oldest son lucas loves chocolate chip pancakes, sometimes I swear he could eat 20 of them. These are just some pictures of him when he was eating them, becasue he was being so silly.
I used Cosmo Cricket's Jack's World for this Layout, including the ribbon, paper, cardstock stickers, rub-ons, and chipboard. I also used some Scrappers Floss, miscellaneous journaling tags, and my favorite things......Thickers.
The sketch is 2.11 from Sketchy Thursday.

This was the first time I held both of the, one being after a scheduled C-Section and the other after 24 hours of induced labor (take a guess which was which, HAHA). This was the Christmas of 2007. I finished up my papers from My Creative Scrapbooks, December Kit and also used the sketch from Sketch Inspirations. I also used Martha Stewart's punches for the border.

The New and Updated Scraproom/Area

Over this past weekend I took the time to re do my scraproom/corner. As you can see I purchased some more Jetmax cubes.
This is a whole room shot of my scrapbook area. On the top you will find Embellishments, flowers, ribbon and fiber and 12x12 cardstock all sorted and organized by color. As well as my computer and printer/scanner area.

As you can see here, you see my two work spaces, my desk and my side table as well as the lovely Ink pad storage my husband made for me two birthday's ago. On my table there is a cricut personal cutter and the expression as well as my sewing machine (for paper only, HAHA) and underneath the two boxes contain all my 8.5 x 11 cardstock.
In these two storage containers you will find my sons favorite thisngs to play with.(HAHA) In the white drawers are my envelopes on the bottom and then the two top drawers include all of my tools. Some of the tools are my scor pall, embosser, iron, destressor kit, glitter containers, and glue gun to name a few.
In the black drawers on the top by color you will find embossing powder, distressing in, Copic markers, miscellaneous markers, glitter, flocks, acrylic paint, puffy pain, liquid pearls and alcohol ink as well as my colored shimmer (that I use to make homemade Glimmer Mist). On the bottom you will find all my miscellaneous punches, from Fiskars Stampin Up as Marvy.

In the jet max cubes you will find all my embellishments, sorted by theme and type. You will also find all of my paper by company and theme in these cubes. You will also find all my paint, and glimmer mist in the two bottom drawers to the right. To the left is my clip it up. The only things on this are my Alphabets. My favorite being the Thickers that I have. Underneath the cubes is an old dresser that we had that I used to store my stamps (two big drawers full) as well as my kits from My Creative Scrapbook, and the kits for my Saturday Scrapbooking club that I am developing. In the dresser you will also find my border punches from EK Success, Martha Stewart and Fiskars. And also the last two drawers hold my diecutting dies, as well as embossing dies and nestabilities. And also my miscellaneous embellishments. The three boxes on to of the cubes are for sorting different items from each of the boys and our family memories.

Super Silly Monster

oooh how I love this picture!!! This was a picture I snapped years ago of my Oldest son Lucas. It was taken on a camera phone, and I am so surprised how well it came out!
Again this layout is from Sassafras Lass' Monstrosity collection. I have to say I think Sassafras Lass is my new favorite Scrapbooking company! I also sewed a double line around the outside and inside of the circle with the sewing machine.

2 Cute 4 Words

This is the first layout using the First every Scrapbook Kit Club from Addicting Paper. These pictures are of Lucas, in the bathtub riding his tractor. I ran in the other room, and when I came back he was sitting on the tractor in the water.
The papers and embellishments are Bo Bunny and the pink letters are Thickers. I used the pleating technique and sewed it to the pages with the green ribbon. The technique is found here at 52Sketches...52Weeks.

How I Roll

This is a picture from the Memorial Day Parade that we were in. That is my oldest son Lucas with my husband on one of our many tractors. The layout was done with Sassafras Lass Monstrosity Kit. I also used the tutorial on making your own page pebbles from Sketch Inspirations. There is a tractor on the bottom of that page pebble, but you can not see it very well from the scan. The layout is also based on sketch #87 from Creative Scrappers.

Likely To Pout

This is a layout based off of sketch 107 from Sketch Inspiration It was a real fun layout to put together and I thought the pictures really went with the spinner and title.
These were pictures I took of my son who pouted in the car until he fell asleep, after me having to take him from the tractor show becasue it was too hot.
I used fancy pants "About A Boy" paper, Thickers, miscellaneous flowers, and some new swirls I found at AC Moore.
