100% Pure Happiness

This was the layout that I stepped out of my box to complete. I used a lot of distressing ink, and did some paper tearing and paper lacing. I definitely was stressing the entire time I was working on this layout.
The paper is from Jenni Bowlin and came with embellishments and other items in the MY Creative Scrapbook kit from March.
I completed this layout for some different challenges at scrapbook.com. The challenges were, Distressing, and the Border Punch Challenge.
The layout was also based off of a sketch from Sketchy Thursday.
Have a good one! Krystal

A Winter Drive

This was Lucas' first time "Cruising" in his Lightning McQueen Power Wheels that my father and step mother bought him for Christmas. He could not wait to get it out, so we brought it out on the driveway the first time you could see the pavement, that winter.
The layout is based off of sketch #2.25 from Sketchy Thursdays.
The papers and embellishments are from the Addicting Paper Scrapbook Kit from April. With some sewing around the edges.

If I Could I Would, Stay Like this Forever

This is a layout based on a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. It was very interesting to do. I have never used paint like this on a layout, and I used a little distressing around the circles and the photo. The supplies were from My Creative Scrapbook's February Album kit.

The Challenge included This:

Prompt
- Fill in the blanks: "If I could __________, I would ________."

Technique - Mist or paint IN PINK.

Sketchy Twist - Use this sketch:

Play, Cool Dude

The funny things we do to our children, or shall I say siblings. This is our youngest son Owen, who Lucas and daddy wanted to dress up. So Lucas put the Glasses on and Daddy put the hat on and Owen Screamed!
The papers, ribbon, stickers, and chipboard are from Cosmo Cricket's line Jack's Worl. I also used a simple embossing label maker to make the journaling and making memories white shinny letters for the second part of the title.
To do the word play I followed the tutorial for confetti letters. You paint the base coat and let dry, then you paint you nex color (orange polka dots) then wait for that to dry and apply glossy accents, to give it a shinny coat.
The layout is based on sketch 1.28 from Sketchy Thursday.

Ball Time

This is my youngest son, he loves to play with this sensory ball, at this point he was just feeling it and rolling it on the ground, now he kicks it and throws it, boy do I wish I could go back in time!
I used Cosmo Cricket's Jack's World, for this layout with the paper, ribbon, rub-ons (on buttons) and chipboard. I also used the Little Yellow Bicycle line of journaling tags, which are so cool.
If you look at the red and blue ball I did something different with it. On the red I mixed red paint and red glitter together (a lot of glitter) and it gave it a rough texture with some sparkle. Then for the blue i again mixed paint and glitter but not a lot and then covered it with glossy elements to give it a shinny finish.
This layout was based off of layout 1.21 from Sketchy Thursday.
I hope you enjoyed looking!

The sketch is 2.11 from Sketchy Thursday.
